Hi Miranda. You make really beautiful lasting memories. I love them. My favorite tree is the fig that stands here in the corner of our garden. My mom took a little cut from her holiday in Italy (Europe) and planted it in her garden. Than it grew into a big tree, while the weather here isn't perfect for figs (a bit too cold). My parents moved and again she took a little cut and planted it in her new garden. This also became a big tree. Whem we moved into our first house here, 6 years ago, she gave me a cut and it also turned into a gorgeous tree. Sitting under it is my favorite thing to do on a hot summersday. Now my brother and sister also got a house with a garden, they'll both get a cut as well. We'll see if they grow just as beautifully. It is this one fig ftom Italy that binds us together, even though we all live in different place now.
I hope this inspires you. Figs have beautiful big leafs, by the way :-)

Best regards, Annelies from the Netherlands

I love the maple leaf (esdoorn). There are a bunch in front of my apartment, and they looked beautiful last week, all yellow and orange in the setting sun.

My favourite plant is the Thistle. It's a weed, but I think it's gorgeous and fun to say.

Hi Miranda, I absolutely love your work. I started following your blog about a year ago and the reason why I love it so much is that it reminds me of my work as a photographer between memory and photography. I love the autumn dark red maple leaves that are scattered on the streets of Vancouver currently. my favourite flower is the peony... thanks for this opportunity!

Hi Miranda, I did write a message just now but somehow it got lost! so I was saying that I love your work and started following your blog about a year ago as it reminds me of some photography work I did a while back with memory and photography. I love the red autumn maple leaves scattered all over the streets here in Vancouver and my favourite flower is the peony. thanks for this opportunity.

We got a pine tree for Christmas last year and planted it in the garden. I told my daughter we should cut the top off, it was getting too big. The next day, there were little acorns in the top, like it heard me and was trying to save itsself! (It worked, too.)

I love roses and violets, too.

Hello Miranda, these are beautiful memory art that you make :) Love them !
I'd say that my favorite flower is carnation because it was my moms favorite, whenver I see them I think of her even more and when I feel thgeir scent it transports me on time travel to those days when I still was her child.
Today I have a carnation bouquet in front of me, they are red, white, yellow and pink... a little bit of time bliss at home :)
Thank you so much for making this beautiful give away.

Thank you for this opportunity! I've admired your work for some time. And you haven't made it easy. Asking me to name my favourite flower or leaf is like asking me to name a favourite child.
I think my favourite flower is the periwinkle though. My grandparents were forced to leave their farm in World War II and years later we travelled back to see it. Periwinkle had grown all around the foundation of the house and my father took some back home, halfway across Canada. Since then we've transplated it in many gardens and I always give it to newlyweds because it's supposed to ensure a long and happy life together.
Warmly,

I don't have a favourite flower, but my favourite tree is the ash tree. We have two in our garden, and I love their leaves - they are just perfect leaves! The ash tree is also an important symbol in norse mythology
Favorite tree is a willow - strong like an oak, but humble enough to let its branches hang low.

Your work is beautiful**

My favorite leaves are ginkgos. I think they're so regal.
Greetings from Edinburgh, Miranda. Apart from being lustful for one of your brooches I wonder whether you might be interested in undertaking an artist residency at one of the Scottish archives and coming up with an exhibition. I will be delighted to help curate and fund-raise for it. I am currently free-lance curating this space: http://www.horsecross.co.uk/about/threshold-artspace/ Iliyana Nedkova

Such a beautiful broach! My favorite flowers are lily of the valley. They also have such a sentimental mourning feeling about them.

As for leaves, what would the leaf from a weeping willow look like in a broach. Are they too small, too long?

I know it's a popular one but I've always liked gingko, and as far as flowers go I have a soft spot for forget-me-nots. Thanks for the beautiful giveaway!
I think my favourite leaf would be the maple leaf, I have family in Canada and it always reminds me of them.

Your work is absolutely stunning!!

Maple leaves are indeed my favorite. I am currently living on the other side of Canada from where I was born (in another part of Canada) and maples, sadly, are not very plentiful here.

I miss the colourful reds, yellows and oranges of autumn and maples.

One year my sister sent me a box of maple leaves for Christmas. I still have them 11 years later--they're a little crumbly, but I cannot part with them.

I love your art! I love the great whilte Aspen trees, they are as beautiful as the early dawn, and the wind ruffeling their leaves as they stand tall and strong in the beautiful sunny summers and glissen like gold when autumn days come, they weather the storms and snow when winter sets in.
So thats why I like the idea of using the small aspen leave design and printing lasting memory photos that you could cluster like the photo pendants that they put on silver chains, and bracelets only using your naturals or dark bronze necklacesI do not know is your leaves would work on bracelets though. (Just a thought!)

I like the Bigleaf Magnolia leaves. Native to my homestate of Alabama, when they fall from the trees they look like old paper covering the forest floor. It's one of the secrets you get to learn about your home.

My favorite leaf is the oak leaf; it has so much character! My favorite flower is the Gerbera Daisy.

I prefer a ginkgo leaf - they're like little umbrellas. The fact it's one of the last members of a tree family makes it very special as well! Our ginkgo biloba tree is now perfectly yellow, a bright spot in our garden!

Hello Miranda! I've always loved Ivy. The way it grows so wildly and creates such tranquility. When I was little, my father planted ivy all around the perimeter of our porch. It grew up the screens and created a hidden retreat. Your passion is inspiring. Best wishes!
I love Japanese maples in all of their varieties. What about herb leaves - cilantro or parsley? Palm trees are wonderful too - I always know that it must be vacation if I see a palm tree!

Lieve groeten, vinne
